It drives me insane to see people being fans of so many teams, I will quit being a fan of the nfl before I start rooting for another team besides the black and gold. What fun is it to like so many teams, it makes it that more special when you follow ONLY one team and they win a championship, division, conference, or superbowl. I realize the Steelers haven't been as consistently bad as say the browns or bengals but trust me we have had our rough spells in my 20 years of being a fan. Sorry for the ranting I just think it's a little bit ridiculous to be a fan of more than one team, college maybe because of so many teams but the NFL? Come on there's only 32.

For me I have reasons:

Cowboys were the 1st team I ever watched. I ran away from home when I was 6 years old over a pair of Tony Dorsett turf shoes:lol: They will always be near and dear as they were my favorites when I was young.

Bengals are my favorite 1st and formost. I grew up loving them in the James Brooks, Icky, Kenny Anderson, Boomer, Munoez (sp), Eddie Brown, Pete Johnson, David Fultcher etc days. They are still my favorite but honestly they have been an embarassment to the NFL the last few years with all the off the field garbage they have let go by. They didn't learn their lesson and they are like the Reds (terrible managment).

Bucs I liked Warrick Dunn, Derrick Brooks and Mike Alstott when they were in college. They all ended up on the same team and Dungy was my favorite coach in the NFL. Nobody liked them so I took a liking to them. Over the years they got great guys and played swarming defense. I still love them!

Colts Dungy went there and I love the way Manning prepares. Bob Sanders is my kind of player and I like Reggie Wayne. I also work for Eli Lilly which was HUGE in getting Indy the Super Bowl coming up. Most Lilly folks take pride in the Colts because it's kind of our home team.

I understand what you are saying as I am like that down deep with the Bengals. I'm just really sick of the way they operate and when they get knocked out every single year you have to have somebody else to pull for. I would take the Steelers but I have to many obnoxious friends that jumped on that waggon like half of America! I do love the way Hines Ward and T. Polomalu play the game though.

The Packers I pulled for because I loved watching Farve play, respect the tradition and got to spend some time with Bart Starr (one of the best guys I've ever met!) I don't pull for them when they are playing the other teams but I do when they aren't.

I about died when I went to the Titans/Chargers game last year! I looked down and a girl I taught in school about 8 years ago was cheering for the Titans. I also work with a girl that used to cheer with the Chargers.

Better jump on the Cowboys bandwagon while you still can. I'm only giving people a couple more weeks to do so. :D

From diapers to now I have loved the Boys'. From the Triplets days, through the hard times til now, I'm always going to keep my NFL located in Big D. You should stick with the Bengals as well, but if your going to jump ship, you might as well climb on the yacht.

Go with the Raiders. JaMarcus Russell & Darren McFadden. They'll be fun to watch.

Or you could go with the Broncos. They're always good and I like Jay Cutler. Plus Denver is a cool place. You could go to a game in December and make a ski trip out of it.

.

Not tonight.

I have been through bad times with the g-men but I never lost faith. Don't jump off the wagon and on to another. Stick with your team.

True but does Mike Brown run the Giants? There is hope out there for any team not run by Mike Brown.

I can not do that.

I will say, I like where this thing is going. (smiles)

I am sick and tired of rooting for the Bengals, who is slowly declining to where it was in the 90's. So I am asking the BGP nation to give me a new team. After watching football this weekend I have narrowed down to 4 teams. I don't want to be a flat out front runner, but I want a chance for a Superbowl team.

It's funny how people get upset because there team isn't living up to their expectations. They can't take it anymore and feel the need to move on.

That's not how it goes big guy. You stick with them through the tough times.

:thumb: It's different when your a black and gold fan! :ylsuper:

Must be a Pittsburgh fan.
