I would love to see this "fast as Highlands offense." I will give credit to NCC that they are fast and a great team, however, fast as HHS, not hardly. I also think that NO ONE is giving Ryle's D the credit it deserves. I guess they'll just have to show everybody.

 

Robby and Mark Kelly are as fast as anyone in Highlands backfield. Overall, they do not compare.

I agree Kues and Kelley are as fast as any backfield in NKY. Without Conner, I think their backfield is at least as good as HHS. The difference between these teams is at Reciever on offense, and almost the entire defense. HHS is so fast on defense, that is where they excel. Also Highlands has a much better passing game at this point in the season.

 

As for the game, it depends which Ryle offense shows up. If it is the old 3 yards and a cloud of dust, sprinkled in with a few go patterns, the NewCath will win by double digits. If it is the more wide open, diverse offense they showed in the pre-season, then I think this game is a close one.

I spoke w/ Coach Woolfe at the NewCath/SK game and he said that w/ how talented this young QB is Ryle has committed to opening up its game. I believe he said that Nate Roeding is calling the O, and Coach Warner has completely given him the reigns.

NewCath in a good game 10 points or so. Without Logan Fererra on defense last week (out with Mono) NCC's defense was without depth. Ryle doesn't seem to have the offense to out score NCC though.

It's hard to tell what Ryle's offense is capable of. They've played the best defense in NKY w/ a young QB and the next week they played a brand new school. To me, they're an unkown commodity. I am with you though, I would believe that if Ryle is going to outscore NewCath, they would have put up more than 6 on Highlands.

I'm not sure that they have that kind of firepower after only getting 6 vs Highlands. They'll definitely score over 6 against NewCath, I'm just not as confident in their offense as I am in NewCath's.

Mexitucky, I have confidence in history and that it tends to repeat itself. Ryle has never given up 28 points to NCC. I don't think that it is going to happen this year either. If NCC is able to win, and it sounds like they are expected by most, it will be the result of a defensive effort.

Well . . . a couple things. First, I don't know that NCC has firmly established itself as having a "quality defense" just quite yet. Secondly, I feel pretty confident that Ryle's defense won't give up 34 points. Ryle's defense is legit and their secondary is very good.

NewCath has a pretty bad pass D, but I am sure Big Bob has made a few changes after last week. I think they can still pull it off. 35-24 BREDS!!
