Wrong! I am firmly planted in Kentucky and am a Buckeye fan, have been since the early/mid 70"s so I don't se that changing anytime soon.

I just started liking them in the early/mid 70's when they had Archie Griffin running (only 2 time heisman winner) and Woody Hayes coaching and I kept with them.

I also am a fan of U.K. (of course), Georgia and Alabama. I don't call it bandwagon, I call it beiing able to like more than one team. U.K. and OSU are my two main favs though.

To put in simply, I am a fan of all of college football along with any other NCAA sport, any of them imo beats the pro game by a long shot.

Basketball is much more simple ...it is U.K. and no one else.

You act like we never heard of Archie Griffin. :jump:

Here's a tough one for ya...

If UK and OSU were playing against each other in football, who would you want to win?

That would be tough, especially with one of our local hometown kids playing for tOSU. All I know is that I would just sit back and really enjoy watching two favorites go at it.

I didn't think that was acting like you never heard of Griffin :jump:, was just one name that came up. I will say that there are probably a lot on here that weren't born when he played and only know of him by stories and film. Anyway, no I wasn't saying that no one had heard of him.

I will say and on a completely different topic that Herschel Walker and Griffin were two of the best backs that I have ever seen play college football. There are a few more in that class but they definately belong. That is a whole other thread though.

I listened to USC on the radio in the late 70's when they had Marcus Allen. I lived in San Diego at the time. When I moved to Northern California in 1984, I followed them and was a huge Rodney Peete fan in the late 80's. Then the middle linebacker (whom I blocked) from my cross-town rival high school (Jeff Kopp) got a scholarship to play there, and I really have not ever closely followed any team since. Suffered through some really bad years in the 1990's, but in my biased opinion we are witnessing and in the midst of a dynasty in the Pete Carroll era.

I can certainly respect those teams that USC had back in the day. I will also say that they may just be on the verge of a dynasty (or as close as any one team could come to that).

I just can't stand P. Carroll, USC or any other Pac10 / west coast team for that matter :D...............but I will give them their due.

The Buckeyes better hope they don't give another performance like against Ohio U. or they will get run out of Los Angeles. USC wins 31-10.

With the way that these two teams have played so far and with USC at home then the Trojans should be clear favorite, no doubt about it. Having said that................

Ohio State - 24

USC 21

GO BUCKS!!!

And this...

I love Fleetwood Mac . . .

As a Buckeye fan, I'm hoping Tressel can circle the wagons and rally the troops like he did when they won the NC against the Canes. Despite what some people may feel about how the game was won, you have to admit Ohio State stayed with a Miami team that everybody predicted would blow the doors off of them. If that's the case...and Beanie Wells plays the entire game...it could be a 24-21 squeaker. If not, things could get ugly for the scarlet and gray.

Southern Cal will win by 21+...

Wow are you serious? Ya'll better get studying. OSU by 10 in this game write me after game and say good prediction..

I became a USC fan in the late '80's when Rodney Peete was there. That's right around the time that I first started watching sports a lot and for some reason, USC stuck with me. I wouldn't call myself a die-hard fan, but you won't catch me cheering against them unless they play UK...which probably ain't happening any time soon.:D

I'd say the score will be close to the current score of this poll.

That would be soooo sweet.

It'll be a solid game. USC's defense is gamblers; they get turnovers and sacks that way but it costs them some big plays. Where they excel is depth, and they have McKnight, Gable, Johnson, and Bradford who are all very capable ballcarriers, and Turner, Hazleton, Johnson, Ausberry, and Williams at wideout, plus Stanley Havili at fullback and a deep offesnive line.

I see the game plan as wearing out the OSU defense with the run, so I think the 31-17 prediction was a pretty good score.

I'll say USC 31-17....Hoping for a bigger beatdown though.

I'll say 41-17...
