September 4, 200818 yr 3-Star RB/DB David Sims from South Carolina commited to the Cats this morning. In addition to Kentucky he claimed offers from Tennessee, Alabama, Florida, Florida State, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Michigan, North Carolina, N.C. State, Oregon and South Carolina. He is projected to play running back for the Wildcats.
September 4, 200818 yr This kid may very well get bumped to 4 Star by the end of the season. Major programs were all over him, apparently it was between UK and Tennessee when the dust settled. Kid has 4.4 speed and plays QB for his HS where he threw for over 1500 yards and ran for 1000 yards last season while accounting for 30 TD's. This also helps continue a growing South Carolina pipeline, Sims' teammate last year Donte' Rumph also committed to the Cats but had to attend Prep School. Calhoun County also has a massive OL in the 2010 class with 5 Major D-1 offers already who is said to be very high on the Cats, he is prohected to be one of the top recruits in SC next season. Cats have also landed since the 2007 class DB Cartier Rice, Gene McCaskill, Matt Lentz, Taylor Wyndham, Rumph, Antwane Glenn, and Antonio Thomas

Good point EKU... Rumph was one of the top prospects in last years class and adding him to this years class is big...Rumph turned down offers from Tennessee, VaTech, and Clemson last year to sign with the Cats...If he arrives on campus next year that could be big addition to our defense. Eric Mack, the big O-lineman in next years class, will be atleast be a 4-Star recruit...He will be one of the top O-linemen in the country next year. He will have offers from everybody, and getting him would be a great pickup but it will be tough. He lists South Carolina and Kentucky as his favorites so you never know.
September 5, 200818 yr Good choice. Maybe he saw our freshman on TV last Saturday nite and Mr. Football in Florida coming here.
September 5, 200818 yr Good choice. Maybe he saw our freshman on TV last Saturday nite and Mr. Football in Florida coming here. Yeah because that's the only reason someone would ever chose Kentucky over Alabama. C'mon AL, quit hating so much on the Big Blue.

September 5, 200818 yr After what UT did to UK last year it is nice to see UT lose out on some guys to UK and also to see them lose in OT.
September 5, 200818 yr ...or it could be that for the third time this summer a prospect has chosen to attend UK over Alabama. That's probably more times than in the last 25 years combined...
September 5, 200818 yr Hey I said good choice. I don't hate the Cats, thats Momma. It just strikes me funny when we have 20 verbals and I look at it every day and his name doesn't stick with me. Go Big Blue. :thumb:
