Mooney is not a powerhouse in Ohio, they are a division 4 team, and lost to Mentor who I saw play the next week and looked like an average high school football team. Mooney was good last year but they lost almost all of their starters. I can understand losing, but with all the "talk and "emphasis" I have heard from Covcath fans this year, you would have thought they could at least give Mooney a game and not a 57-0 blowout. Before the season even started, all I heard from the fans of Covcath was that this years team is really good and would even pull off a win over Highlands. Now that Covcath was embarassed everyone finds an excuse; ( Mooney is too much of a powerhouse for Covcath to compete with). (Coach Brossart didnt have our team prepared). ( They had to drive 4 hours to play the game).:madman:

You may be right, becuase I think anyone from any school will say they are going to beat everyone they play this year. And I respect that because having pride in your school is what will make a difference. However the only thing that dissappoints me is that everyone was so behind their Covcath team, but then they get blown out, and everyone starts pointing fingers. If you are going to make excuses about losing a game this bad, they shouldnt be about the long drive, or the coaches preperation. Its all about the team, and the players on the team. If people are honestly going to complain about how good Mooney was, or how far the drive was, then dont show up to the game and keep the excuses with you at home.

Trust me, I am not a Covcath fan, I like Covcath just as much as I like anyteam in Northern Kentucky, I have been to alot of Covcath baseball, basketball, and football games. But I do the same with Highlands and Newcath. It just seems most of the talk on here from Northern Kentucky is about Covcath and I know alot about the program and have personal relationships with people involved with the school, and I just post what I hear or what interest me to post about.. That is what this whole site is about I would say.

Although this weeks game will be a tough one for the colonels, it will be a good indicator as to where they are at as far as Kentucky football is concerned. I don't see NCC putting the same hurting on them that mooney did.

Cov Cath will give us a run for our money........they have a good group of boys. I especially like the Connaughton boy. However, because I am a die hard Breds fan, I have to go with the Breds. I say Breds 35-21

I wish this one was played on Saturday cause I would definitely be there for it. Should be a pretty good game between to traditional powers.

I wish I could see this one since I think that it will be closer than many think due to Cov Cath having the pride I know they do to come out hungry. NCC is obviously picking up where they left off last year. Sorry, if the BIRDS weren't playing the game of the century Friday I'd be there. Go Breds, show 'em what us Campbell Co schools are made of.

I'm along the same lines. CovCath has a very big line, but NewCath is almost just as big along their defensive line. CovCath traditionally has two platooned, and NewCath has a lot of players going both ways this year. That being said, the Breds are rotating a lot of players. I look for NewCath's offense to give CovCath problems. I also see Isler rebounding from last week's performance to have a good game. NewCath 31-CovCath 27 in a good one.

From what I have seen of the Cov Cath front line, (1 scrimmage 1 game) they will have all they can handle with NCC. Yes they are big, however I rarly saw them get to the second level or protect thier QB in passing situations. Gonna be a long year for Cov Cath in that div.
