August 29, 200818 yr If his last name stayed Johnson, do you think people would be writing articles about his last name staying Johnson? Who cares if they write an article or not? It's the fact that Chad could give an entire years salary to charity, and the people on here would bash him for doing it for the publicity. It's stupid, and pointless.

The point is none of his antics do anything productive toward helping the team win.
August 29, 200818 yr The point is none of his antics do anything productive toward helping the team win. Nor does this do anything to hinder them from winning. I ask this: What does the name that appears on the back of his jersey have to do with his play on the field or the outcome of a game?

I ask this: What does the name that appears on the back of his jersey have to do with his play on the field or the outcome of a game? Yes, you could argue it does because it's just one more distraction that keeps the team from focusing on winning. Instead, they're either sitting back wondering what he's going to do next, or they're resentful because he's an attention hound.

If they are distracted by the name that appears on the back of one of their teammates uniforms, then Marvin Lewis isn't doing his job, and should be fired immediately. I don't care if he changes his last name to "I'm Terrible", it has zero impact on the outcome of the game.

I don't care if he changes his last name to "I'm Terrible", it has zero impact on the outcome of the game. Marvin can only do so much with one hand tied behind his back. And it's not just the name, it's the steady stream of soap opera stuff, week in and week out, year after year. All the while, the losses continue to mount, and the Bengals continue cementing their place as the laughingstock of professional sports. But hey, if you can live with it, I can too ...

August 29, 200818 yr I don't see how this is going to have an affect on any game or any single play for that matter. Its fun and entertaining.
August 29, 200818 yr I think it's funny. I can't wait to see Ocho Cinco on the back of his jersey.
August 29, 200818 yr I think its clever. They're adults, not 15 year old high school students, I think they can cope and keep their head on straight...
August 29, 200818 yr I think its clever. They're adults, not 15 year old high school students, I think they can cope and keep their head on straight... Years and years of mounting losses would seem to indicate otherwise.
August 29, 200818 yr . and the Bengals continue cementing their place as the laughingstock of professional sports. I don't think just speaks of the Bengals, but for Cincinnati sports in general. Both pro teams in Cincinnati suck and there is no way around it.

August 29, 200818 yr I have no problem with it but how funny would it be if they changed his number to something else besides 85?
