They play at a neutral site in Atlanta Saturday Night. I am picking the Crimson Tide 23-17.

This one imo may be the best game of the weekend, I'll take Clemson in a very close football game but it certainly wouldn't suprise me if the boys from Bama win this one.

 

Clemson by 3, maybe in o.t.

Clemson 34-17. It's going to be a long year for Alabama and Nick. They will finish 4th maybe 5th in the SEC West and in my opinion will struggle to make a bowl game. Those freshman will be good next year but when you are talking about playing 10 or 11 true freshman each game in the SEC you are going to have a long year.

Tommy Bowden consistently has some of the best talent in the land but always finds a way to screw Clemson out of a national title picture. It will happen again.

I too believe Bama is a year away from being one of the top schools once again. They should improve as the season progresses, but they have a tough battle in week 1. Although I am rooting for the Tide, Clemson really has no excuse not to win.

Clemson should win by talent alone, but if they let Alabama stick around there will be a good chance Saban will outcoach Bowden and steal a win.

Does a loss to Alabama put in firmly on the hot seat? He probably already is a little bit, but they are expecting big things this season. An early loss to Alabama (good team, not great) might be the loss that finally sends Bowden out.

If Bowden fails to produce something of significance this season, he could be out the door or on a really, really hot seat.

Early big game are hard for both teams. They have a great QB/2 RBs that should have went pro. Our D is rebuilding and I'm sorry to say we might a long nite, but if I pick against us and we win....I look goofy. Wait I already look that way.

 

Bama 24-20

Clemson should win this one with that running game. I'll say Clemson 28-17

I think that by season's end, Alabama will be very tough...I am not sold on their QB, he has shown a tendenancy to be very sloppy in big games...this game is very big...its the mighty SEC -vs- a mediocre ACC (though a strong team), I think Clemson pulls out a fun dual in the end, 27-21..

Alabama is middle of the SEC pack. Clemson is THE BEST TEAM in the ACC.

 

If Alabama wins, I think the SEC folks will be able to shoot their mouths off pretty loudly.

:laugh: Most UK fans I know pull for the SEC against the ACC. In fact over my many years if they didn't have a direct tie most true SEC fans pull for each other out of conference. I even pull for the vols/warbuzzards in the bowls.

 

When UCLA plays the vols on Monday, its SEC all the way. But thats me and you are you. Good Luck against the Cards I'm pulling for the Cats.
