I'd have to say those big plays were a result of a tired defense. Dixie was dragging late into the 3rd and all through the 4th. Dixie players were gasping for air while the Beechwood players still looked fresh. There were quite a few missed tackles late from players that typically don't miss.

 

Nees, after my original post, I talked with my son and he tends to agree with you. And of course during that talk he refreshed my memory of a few Dixie guys being treated for cramps during that game. Can't believe I forgot....must be my age.

Not to take anything away from Dixie because Conner Brock is going to have a great year. He is a good running back.

Should be a good game, but I think Beechwood will win this one. Their conditioning and two a days always give our boys the second half advantage. That is what helped us win over Dixie and other opponents last year We wore them down.

Daniels is the QB, and based off another thread, he just got a stinger in their last scrimmage.

Oh, obviously I meant QB, I know Tiepel will be the starting RB and should get the ball early and often.

The BHS/HHS scrimmage is the same every yr w/the exception of maybe one yr. Scrimmages mean absolutely nothing except for the coaches to see who has the guts and who don't and time to make adjustments. BHS always comes out fine after that scrimmage.

 

BHS wins easy! If you have lived in NKY for a while you should know that the class a team is means nothing to BHS. They know they put their uniforms on just like the other team.

 

I agree that Beechwood will come with all they got and out of all 1A teams with the exception of NCC, Beechwood will give them the best game. I guess I am just missing something. I will take your word for it and I know from past posts you are a Beechwood backer.

What games were you watching? The problem was the "D" gave up as many or more points as their offense was scoring. Believe me, I hate to criticize Dixie's team but I have to be truthful here.

 

Now OldDog , how many times did the O go three and out last year ? To many . Think about the Holmes game for one , they can't stop the run , so we pass the ball ? :confused: If your going to be truthful , be truthful ! Now if the O could have ran the ball for a first down late in the game , B-Wood doesn't get the ball back !:thumb: Third and short and we pass for an INT that turns into a very short field for B-Wood ! The very next week we put in a power package , we should have had in to start ! Dixie wins 17 to 14 and not losing 21-17 . But this is a NEW YEAR and I like this years Dixie's Team !:thumb: So I'll go with Dixie 20 to 14 this year !!!! :thumb: Show that DIXIE PRIDE !!!!!!:fire:
