I think Buckler is a little over rated IMO. I also hear that Bellevue is putting Huninghake at QB for this game because the coaches were VERY unhappy with their QB play in pre season. Anyone know if that is true? It came from a guy at work who has a nephew on the Tigers team. NPT could be tough this year. I look for the WildCats to make some noise.

I agree with the rest of you, Buckler is no where near overrated. He rushed for almost 900 yds last year with a torn shoudler all year (according to the newspaper). I think he was also the single A player of the year.

 

I look for him to have a big game against newport. I have also heard that Wills is going to be the QB for this game.

I saw him play three times last year. I'm not claiming the kid isn't good. I saw two or three other players for the tigers last year who were better with the ball in their hands! Any word on their QB? Is Hunninghake going to start as a DB and as a QB?

NC84 I agree that there is at least one other running back on the tiger roster with Bucklers talent. But it might be time to take the beer goggles off. If there were Two or Three better than him Bellevues offense would be unstoppable.

Good point qryche11 - one should never made a judgement on someone unless you've actually witnessed their availability. Actually I've seen some of Buckler's recent pictures and it seems to me that he has grown and put some muscle weight together. IMO I strongly believe that Buckler will be a force to deal with this season.
