Dream or Redeem?

BEIJING – With each successive blowout, each complete manhandling of competition exponentially greater than Magic, Michael and Larry could have fathomed, the question about the current USA men’s basketball team isn’t about redemption, it’s about greatness.

I am going with the Dream Team. THe best team ever.

A tie? You really made that an option? If it is a matchup then wouldn't they play each other? Didn't know basketball games ended in ties now.

By the way, it is not the Baseball All Star game. They will play overtime.

This team easily. MANY of the players from the 1992 team were way past their prime when the Olympics occured.

Who? Magic (who wasn't even in the NBA at the time of the Olympics) & Larry??? 2 out of the 12 players on the roster...? I wouldn't really classify that as "MANY"...

No, Bird was past his prime. Magic was a year removed from the NBA finals, MJ was 29, Pippen was 26 or 27. The Dream Team could flat out shoot it. This team relies on pressure D and getting out on fast breaks while going 10 deep. The end result is that the game starts to turn midway through the 2nd quarter. The Dream Team was just as deep. While this team is more athletic overall, they don't shoot as well as the '92 team and they are no where near as good down low.

Who started for the Dream Team? MJ, Magic, Bird, Malone, and Ewing?

Redeem team....

The Dream Team won by an average of 43.8 points (and without coach Chuck Daly ever using a timeout)...Not an arguing point from me on this but what is this years Olympic team average winning margin?

...I'll answer it...This years team won their first 5 pool games by an average of 32.2 PPG.

With the Dream Team, you had Barkley, Jordan, Pippen, Robinson, Ewing, Malone, Drexler, and Stockton all in their prime. I think the Dream Team would win, based solely on toughness.
