August 28, 200818 yr I have not been a big fan of N.D. for quite some time, mostly in the last few years not bc they were bad but bc of their last couple of coaches. Startng especially with the guy at Washington now and that I cannot stand C. Weis :irked:. "Back in the day" of N.D. fotball I loved watching them play in the years of Ara Parseghian, Dan Devine and Lou Holtz. I cannot help by being a huge fan of college football than to respect Notre Dame football and all of the history and tradition there. As for this season, I'll say 7 wins, they not there yet.
August 28, 200818 yr Yes, the records are similar due only to last season, and honestly a big part of the problem last year was a lack of talent in the upperclassmen due to an absolute horrible job of recruiting by Ty. Correct me if I'm wrong (I'm not a big ND fan, at all), but didn't Weis win with Ty's players?

More so than Ty won with them. Last year had a lot to due with a complete lack of recruiting on Ty's part that left the cuppord pretty bare, especially on the lines. Cowherd had a good segement on Ty today. I wish I had a transcript to post.

Every year we hear about either how good they will be, or how great their recruiting class is. They haven't won a bowl game since 1994. And they haven't even been competitive in a bowl game since '99.
