August 14, 200818 yr "Sources say former Secretary of State Colin Powell will endorse Barack Obama at the Democratic National Convention, Weekly Standard editor Bill Kristol told FOX News exclusively on Wednesday." This is huge for Obama... http://elections.foxnews.com/2008/08/13/kristol-colin-powell-to-endorse-barack-obama/
August 14, 200818 yr COlin Powel was a brilliant General and is entitled to be wrong occasionally. I believe if Jesus Christ was to endorse Obama, people would be slandering him. "Everyone knows both Jesus and Obama are soft on crucifixion of the enemy!" Edited August 14, 200818 yr by thegooch Rethought

August 14, 200818 yr I didn't think church and state were supposed to go together.... That isn't even relevant. I was making the point that no matter who endorses Jesus, conservatives will try to attack that persons credentials or mind set.
August 14, 200818 yr That isn't even relevant. I was making the point that no matter who endorses Jesus, conservatives will try to attack that persons credentials or mind set. I realize that...It was an attempt at humor that evidently didn't quite hit....
August 14, 200818 yr I realize that...It was an attempt at humor that evidently didn't quite hit.... oh...:thumb:
August 14, 200818 yr Sorry, but I stopped believing anything Mr. Powell said after 2003. Would not impressed by this, nor suprised. Edited August 14, 200818 yr by shamrock fan word omitted

August 14, 200818 yr This endorsement should really help Obama among the approximately 6% of African Americans who have not already decided to vote for him. Most other Americans will simply see another black man who has decided to vote along racial lines. If Powell has plans to run for office someday, then this endorsement is almost a no-brainer. Could this endorsement land Powell on Obama's short list of potential running mates?
August 14, 200818 yr  I believe if Jesus Christ was to endorse Obama, people would be slandering him. "Everyone knows both Jesus and Obama are soft on crucifixion of the enemy!" Who slandered anyone? I said that Powell was wrong, how in any way shape or form is that an attack?
