May 13, 201016 yr Author "El Paso" by Marty Robbins (Sides 1/2) The outstanding band Old '97s did a great, up-tempo cover of the famous title track for the "King Of The Hill" soundtrack.
May 13, 201016 yr Author Only the second-greatest country record of all-time ... Great story about this album. If you know it, you know that he does several different versions of the title track on the album, and if you're paying attention, you notice the distinct differences. However, one night we had a BBQ at my parents' place, and I put this CD on to listen to while playing cards. After about a half-hour, my friend and fellow BGPer Mack The Knife says, "Haven't we heard this song before?" "Well, yeah," I said. "He does this same song over and over on the album, with a few other tunes mixed in," hits such as "Blue Eyes Cryin' In The Rain." "No," Mack said, "We've heard this song over and over again." Sure enough, I looked, and I apparently had accidentally hit "repeat" to where it played Track 1 in an endless loop. :ohbrother: I blame it on the whisky.
