August 1, 200818 yr Georgia and Florida are both going to be very good this year. The game in Jacksonville this year should be a dandy.
August 2, 200818 yr Georgia is the best team in the nation IMHO. I agree, I do think that their schedule will be tough to get through, that along with playing in the SEC and with Fla. in their division to get past to even make it to the SEC title game. Imho should UGA make it through the schedule that they have, the SEC and then the SEC title game, they should be crowned #1 right away and then let te BCS bowls all play for #2. (By the way, I think that Fla. should be ranked #2, they will be as good as anyone)
August 2, 200818 yr Nice touch on the #3 team listed.....over used and a Dead Horse . Of course, if people are talking about you and hating then you must be pretty good....I love it!! (by the way, I made the correction for you....:thumb:) GO Buckeyes!!!! THE single dumbest tag line in all of sports...
August 2, 200818 yr THE single dumbest tag line in all of sports... Maybe the 2nd.......right behind...Go Blue!! Ahh, that time of year again, I love it!! :thumb::banana:
August 2, 200818 yr Is it clear the championship game will feature two teams with one L? I would say that the USC/OSU winner could go undefeated along with the Big East winner. Potentially two undefeated teams could get there. I think it is unlikely, but you never know?
August 2, 200818 yr I agree they will be better than what many think. However, that doesn't justify putting them in the top 25 to begin the year. Michigan always has 4 and 5 star players, and probably always will. Offensively several of the returning starters on the OL were overmatched in their time last year, not to mention they lost Boren (and good riddance!). They lost a 4 year starter at RB, QB, their top two wideouts, and an all world LT. I don't care who you have waiting in the wings, that is a lot to replace. You can be the most talented HS player in the country, but there is simply no substitute for game experience. Not to mention an entirely new system that is about as far from zone left, zone left, zone left, punt as you could possibly get. Defensively, I agree the front 4 will be very good with Taylor and Graham leading the charge. LB though is a position of concern for me with 2 new starters (preliminary Panter and Mouton). The secondary is solid at corner with Trent and Warren (who I love). Safety is an area of concern as well with 2 new starters on a team that has had considerable difficulty at that position in recent years. I think they will struggle a bit early with the new scheme and new starters but should develop into a solid team by the end of the season. I agree that the LB's are a concern on defense but I am a huge fan of the secondary as well as the front 4 on D. (Morgan Trent running down Percy Harvin in the capital one bowl shows they have speed) The defense alone will win the first three games in my opinion. Plus the Mike Barwis training affect in the SC will help in a few games. I got my tickets for the Utah game today and cannot wait to see the RR era kick off. I do not think they will win a NC this year but I do believe they are a top 20 team
August 2, 200818 yr I'm a fan of Coach Richt and his program. I like Coach Richt too. I think he's a good coach and a very good person but I just can't root for the Georgia.
August 2, 200818 yr Michigan will be beter than most think. The defense will be great especially the front 4 and the secondary.(Brandon Graham will be a stud this year at DE) The offense is the question but the presumed starters are 4 and 5 star players other than 2 players and one of those is Carson Butler who is an NFL player in the future. I agree.
August 2, 200818 yr Yeah, same here. I see UF taking over the number one spot. Tebow is a beast. He's a FB that plays QB, I will be happy when he's gone...he won't have a prolific NFL career.
August 2, 200818 yr He's a FB that plays QB, I will be happy when he's gone...he won't have a prolific NFL career. Maybe not, but he is an unbelievable college player.

August 2, 200818 yr It is going to be tuff for one of those teams to go unddefeated this the caliber of their schedules.
