With Junior moved I think you sign him for 3-4 years at 12 or so million per. I think it should be pretty clear to his agent that he's not going to break the bank on the open market, and staying here at a slightly reduced rate would be in his best interest...
In your opinion or if you've heard anything, do you think Dunn would consider taking a cut and remain a Red.

I believe he would agree to something near what I mentioned...

You know if you look at the numbers, he is a prime candidate for a platoon situation. Any RH outfielders out there?

I agree and think that would be in his best interest. His other option, would be a DH and I don't see him getting that kind of money, in that roll.

You don't platoon, with $13mil. You either play them or trade them, not much room for anything else.

Zero chance he stays to platoon...

It's clear that he's not held in high regard by most if not the rest of GMs in baseball. I honestly think if he tries the open market he'd be lucky to get 40 million over 4 years...

I agree 100% and don't you think, this is one reason he hasn't been gone sooner.

He can stay in the launching pad and give the Reds, what he does consistently, hit HR's and generate RBI's.

It's clearly why he hasn't been moved. I now think at worst he accepts arbitration one more time and is here for 09...

Why not? He's horrid against LHs

Why do GMs not regard him highly?

Show me someone making over 10 million in a platoon. I'll be waiting...

Why do GMs not regard him highly?

For the reasons many dislike him here. Perception has become reality when it comes to Dunn...

I'm sure there isn't anyone. Just a thought.

Why do GMs not regard him highly?
Most are searching for that 5-tool player, who can produce high numbers, with a low cost to the franchise.

Dunn falls into a category, of many who hit for power and production, but don't have solid OBP% and don't help you win, with their gloves.

Are you saying the GMs of MLB clubs have the wrong perception of Dunn?
