Just their time. What you are suggesting is that God knew us before we were conceived. Therefore birth control is wrong b/c that keeps us from being conceived. Well the Catholic church is officially against birth control and the death penalty so really we are very pro-life. Oh and against abortion for that matter. Using your logic we should not be against murder, rape or any other crime as long as I have a plank in my eye. I am sorry Plato but I see that as a cop out as we impose our beliefs on people ALL THE TIME. Actually the scriptures tell us that we should turn the other cheek, so maybe we are supposed to worry about how we handle ourselves - if we're going to pull out one scripture at a time. In my belief, there is a clear cut separation of church and state. The state is making laws based on what is best for society and the people within. I can see how the state can side with the rights of the women involved. The church is where we develop our personal beliefs and our relationship with God. As I stated above, I would never want to be any part of an abortion. That is my personal business and is between me and God. IMO the two are completely separate.

Let's see, what can I not do in this state. casino gambling drink under 21 drive over 65 MPH go into a public place and urinate yell fire in a crowded place become a prostitute and do what I want with my body drugs and inject what I want into my body. (notice in those last two, society, government is telling me what I can and cannot do with my own body.) buy someone else's vote on issues that concern me. etc etc etc Actually you can do the majority of these things. They just aren't legal. Except for the over 65 thing. You do know that it is 70 now, right?
