July 30, 200818 yr How does a Christian (not talking society but a Christian) handle the Scripture in which God says that before we were in the womb he knew us? Do you ignore it or can you justify that Scripture as a Christian with your stance that abortion is not taking a life? I view the abortion debate as two different arguments. You have the non-Christian debate about whether it is a life or not. But then you have the Christian debate where God is clear that the baby is a life that He knew before we even reached the womb. And yet, there is a whole host of Christians that put a society's view in front of God's view. And I don't understand that at all. I am supposed to deny myself to follow Christ but this seems as Christians putting their societal view in front of what I believe is clear that Christ would not be for killing unborn babies.
July 30, 200818 yr I believe it is a life while in the womb. I am against abortion. I'm not for ending R v W. I'm not sure how we punish the mother (and father potentially) who has the abortion.
July 30, 200818 yr As a Christian, I support a woman's right to choose. Because at judgement I don't have to answer for that mistake. Now some folks will say I don't have a stance because I am on both sides. But I ask who am I to judge? All I can do is try and help women who want an abortion find alternative ways. But I am not going to shame them if they have one. I also say life is at conception.
July 30, 200818 yr Murder is murder wether in the womb or out. The laws in our country is supposed to be set up to protect the innocent and those that need help. You can't get more innocent and helpless than a baby and especially in the womb. Abortion is murder pure and simple. How anyone , especially a so called christian , support this nonsense is beyond me. all I can say to those who support, choose, or perform abortions is ..... GOD HELP THEM ON JUDGEMENT DAY !!!!!

July 30, 200818 yr I am against abortion. I can understand though R v W. Not that I agree, but I understand. Question: Have any posters who are absolutely, positively, vehemently opposed to abortion ever worked with girls who are struggling with what choice they should make?

I have always been taught if you disagree with something yet do not oppose it ... then you in a sense support it. There is no riding the fence when it comes to the affairs of the heart. We either are against or for ... There is no in between. It's either black or white. It can't be both. IMO
July 30, 200818 yr Life in prison for mothers?I support some kind of punishment ... I don't know exactlly what. This is premeditated murder after all isn't it ?
July 30, 200818 yr I support some kind of punishment ... I don't know exactlly what. This is premeditated murder after all isn't it ? That's my question. If you say murder is murder then you have to be for the same punishment. I can't go that far and I don't think most Americans will go that far.

Question: Have any posters who are absolutely, positively, vehemently opposed to abortion ever worked with girls who are struggling with what choice they should make? I have had the oppurtunity to speak to a couple of young women on this issue. They were young, scared, didn't know where to turn or who to talk to and it really showed me that this is a very tough complicated decision these young ladies have to make. I am happy to say that they chose to go ahead and have their little one's and never have regretted it. :thumb:
