I think we should let this thread die before people start thinking I'm a huge narcissist.

 

Okay, they already think that...but this only serves to confirm their suspicions.

 

Let me sum things up. In the 18 months or so since RTS and I began (in a very manly, completely heterosexual sense) "man-dating", The following has happened:

 

• I've gone from Barry Manilow to Pink Floyd and Led Zeppelin.
  
• I've gone from Coke & milk to Royal Crown & beer.
  
• I've (unintentionally) taken my aging parents to a psychic porn show, where they were both accosted by a half-naked fat guy, right in front of me.
  
• I've been nearly involved in a number of (potentially) ugly altercations -- including one I almost started myself.
  
• I've been hanging out in beer halls and cabarets until all hours of the night.
  
• I got caught in a rainstorm.
  
• I've modified (not changed) my views on issues such as global warming, immigration, and welfare reform.
  
• I nearly knocked out (accidentally) the lead actress in a musical comedy.
  
• I spilled a whole Coke in a Mexican Restaurant.
  
• I (accidentally) semi-molested a waitress.
  
• And a few things that I can't even begin to talk about in this forum.
  

Now, the finishing touch is about to be placed on the transformation. I, the anti-gun crusader, who has gone round and round in some of the P&R forum's most legendary threads, railing against the evils of gun ownership and gun carrying...I'm about to purchase my first gun. And not a wimpy one either -- a .357 magnum. :eek:

 

It's kind of like Lord of the Flies, except the kids are a lot older, there's fewer of them, and...I didn't lose my glasses.

 

In all seriousness, RTS has expanded my horizons, and all that has happened has been of my own doing and my own choice. I wouldn't have had it any other way. Believe it or not, the one thing he doesn't even realize that he's done is to encourage and support me in returning to my faith, which I've wandered from a bit. He's also helped me to learn how to play guitar, and pushed me to keep at it when I wanted so badly to give up. RTS is my best buddy and I wouldn't trade him for a sack o' nickels.

 

I knew you would see the light, it took some soul searching and education. Now, you know you have to start voting Republican in order to keep your new found hobbies, right?

 

Once you do that, the transformation will be complete and you will be a full fledged, conservative.:scared:

See? Now there's the problem I have with conservative Republicans. They assume that, if you're not conservative enough, you must not be a Republican. But I've been one since the day I first registered to vote. :thumb:
