July 26, 200818 yr I really enjoyed the USS Indianapolis documentary last year. I didn't know much about the tragedy and it was great to get some insight on what really happened after the ship went down.

They get everybody all into the "shark" hype and then show a documentry on sailors that died, may due to sharks. Somehow it seems disrespectful to me. By the way, you can see a pic of the USS Indianapolis Memorial in my avatar this week. The anniversary of the sinking is July 30th.
July 26, 200818 yr I typically enjoy shark week to the fullest. It's not going to happen this year though. Every year we go to the beach early in the summer, before shark week airs. This year, due to work, me and my girl friend will be in Cancun next week. No way I'm watching a week full of shark attacks before I head to Mexico. Not gonna happen.
July 27, 200818 yr Author I love them too, I just hope they are new shows and not just repeats of past shows. I am sure they will show some repeats throughout the day, but at night around 8pm and such I believe they have new episodes of stuff.

July 28, 200818 yr I love love love Shark Week. Shark Week has really done a good job of dispelling myths about how sharks are out for human blood.
July 29, 200818 yr Author Tonight was about the fourth time that I watched the Air Jaws documentary, it came on at midnight. It was once again awesome. I can't believe that the one photographer actually climbs out on the giant whale corpse. And it is really cool to see those giant beasts fly out of the water. Shark Week scares the heck out of me...for real.
July 29, 200818 yr We had a thread on the Indianapolis documentary when it aired last year and my biggest problem with it was when they would have their little animated promos at the bottom of the screen. Watch people narrowly avoid death or BIGGEST SHARK ATTACKS EVER! Next. They are showing promos like that during the doc, that stuff kinda bothered me. I hadn't seen the Mythbusters Jaws special until the other day, that was nice to see. I missed the Air Jaws stuff tonight.

I couldn't believe he looked as relaxed as he did while the shark was chewing around the corpse. They are incrediable animals!
