Some critics say definitely and some disagree..What are your thoughts and do you think he will?

Well if his performance is good, then he still deserves it. If not, then he doesn't. His death should not be a determining factor IMO. I cant vote either way.

^ Yeah, IMO he definitely deserved it. The role was remarkably great. It wasn't just the role but it was all the emotion and devotion he put into playing the Joker. He got into a warped mindset to play the Joker and I believe it was a great performance and he was astonishing in this movie, just the presence he brought to it was unimaginable. On that alone I believe he deserves the nomination not because of his death.

He would have deserved it if he were still alive, so yes. His death doesn't effect my decision one way or the other. He did a VERY good job.

Well I would have liked to of heard a response from OlDog on the reason why he wasn't deserving of a nomination..

I think main villains count in the main actor category. Best supporting actor would be someone like Maggie Gyllenhaal, or Morgan Freeman.

 

Also, Ledger's Joker is the best acting I've seen all year, sooo... yeah, I think he should recieve it at this point.

I just feel didn't have enough on Camera time for me to warrant a judgment. Overall there wasn't any bad acting in the movie!

I haven't seen the movie, but from the critics in the family it is a definate. They said his performance is unbelievable.
