A HR derby is an exhibition contest for the fans and if that is the way they want to set it up then it is fine with me, no one is winning a NBA,NFL,MLB, any NCAA championships here, geez. I am too sleepy to go on with this. Morneau won, Hamilton was the story and none of it matters as to what team is going to win a championship, it's a fun contest for the fans....................end of story.

I didn't watch ESPN afterwards so I'm asking how they or you would like to set it up? If it was like it use to be back in the day, two players one on one then I'd agree the one with the most homers wins but with 8 players and 3 rounds I don't see it. I wouldn't like to see it changed, if it is will the dunk contest be next?

I'm pretty sure HR Derby will always be listed as one of his accomplishments when talked about. If Hamilton sits round two he wins easy, and puts on a show in the final round.. It didn't matter how many Hamilton hit tonight, he was going to be the talk of the derby regardless.

He didn't just hit a bunch, he crushed a bunch.

The same thing was said when Sosa hit a then record 26 and then again when Abreu hit 41.. Hamilton put on a show no doubt but in a few years from now someone will put this HR derby to shame..

And I disagree on a few years, it may be sometime before someone hits 28 in one round.
