:scared::scared::scared::scared::scared:OK maybe the middle school has talent so what happens at the next level why arent they winning??????Bracken Co should be a contender for a regional tournement apperence!!!!!Look give the man a chance let him coach his first game or even conduct his first practice before you send him out of Brooksville on 2 wheels!!!!!!!!!!!Change is good this guy is young and has nothing but heart when it comes to the game!!!!So lets see what happens and then you can make your choice whether you like him or not.I was just wondering have you met him???????Thats what I thought!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I don't think anyone is bashing the new coach. It appears the problem everyone has is the way the decisions are made by the admin. and the loyalty to existing coaches in the school system.

Making the predictions of when the guy is going to leave before he ever steps foot on campus officially is not exactly rolling out the red carpet and welcoming the young man either. Talking about the inexperience, using a job as a stepping stone, is not exactly giving the man a pat on the back.

On a side note, and to add a twist to a good rivalry in the district, I have been informed that Coach Breeze is a kin of Coach Hinson at St. Patrick. Wow, I have a feeling there will be two spitfires on the sidelines when those two teams meet head to head.

Wow! That should be fun.:thumb:

Just like I said before...it's not a change...it's the same old road we've gone down many times. Where's that gotten us? That what I thought!

That is absolutely correct! The subject of this thread is why the administration chose a young man who has never coached a game before and passed over a local Coach that has had success in the county with the talent he was given. I do not think that is unreasonable to ask why and what was the administration thinking. It is not about bashing, it is about a deserving Coach that did not get a chance to prove himself at the high school level. It is about being loyal to someone who has taught and coached in our school system for 13 years.

Because if the local coach was that good he would have been given a chance a long time ago- and middle school doesnt play anyone like the Varisty does- league is terrible Bracken is in- then when middle schools combine it is alot tougher- I think Persinger had his chance to coach High School at the JV level and pretty much dissappointed everyone by his lack of dedication- so I think this thread is a moot point now and people just trying to get things stirred up- new guy is hired and people should support him- final say so. Kids will play hard- Bracken will do well but will never compete for region crown. Getting to region is an accomplishment and nothing wrong with that when State Champs are in your district. People should be more positive in Brooksvile

Southern Gentleman, agree with everything you said. The league that the middle school has always played in is very weak and does not prepare a coach or the players for varsity basketball(hence the record). I think it only lasts a month. To my knowledge Coach Persinger has never taken a middle school team and traveled with them to play better competition to make them better for varsity. Don't know what all the fuss is about because Bracken County's only goal is to compete with Deming,Augusta, St.Patrick and Fleming. Some on the boards make them out to be a potential district or A powerhouse with this coach or that coach and that could be further from the truth in any of the boys sports. Let Coach Breeze just make them competitive like Coach Fite and that will be enough, anything else will just be an added surprise.

I have a friend with close ties to members on the Darrin Horn coaching staff at WKU and they have nothing to say but positive things about Coach Breeze and the contributions he made to their program over the past few years. This person was told that Deron "has a great basketball mind that you don't see to often in young guys these days".

The Bracken Co. faithful need to support the young man because I am sure he will give 110% to the program and will get the most out of the kids there.
