Must really being doing some heavy research on Coach Breeze to take the time to look on WKU website to see if he has ever been paided WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!In all honesty has Bracken County had a great season here in the recent years????Has the middle school produced talent????????Give the man a chance who knows maybe he will come in and change things around to where they could be a contender to advance to the region. When was the last time that happened?????Not in the last couple of years!!!!!!!The school and site base must have thought he was qualified to give him the job but before we pass judgement on him at least give him a chance!!!!!!!!

Coach Breeze's hiring is a solid hiring by Bracken County. Bracken has some talent and young talent who will be able to compete definitely on the All A circuit for the next few years. The kids will either share the same passion as Coach Breeze, or they won't be playing very long. This guy will work his tail off, young and has been around basketball all his life. Great family formerly from Mason County, its always great that people want to come home. :thumb: to BC!

I will stand up for 10th region fan as to the comparison he is trying to make. He is not comparing Persinger to Whitaker. He is comparing the fact that a 10th region coach has coached fast pitch and basketball and had success. In order to do this you must have great assistant coaches and that is what helps Whitaker.

As for Chad, he has shown he can develop a program. He has developed the fast pitch program incorporating middle and high school athletes and has developed basically a feeder system for his high school program. He would definitely be around to develop the basketball program from the elementary school up to the high school. Bracken needs someone who will develop the program for the future using what he has now. Chad would give the program some consistency and not use it as a stepping stone unlike others and I am sure Coach Breeze is using Bracken to begin his career, which happens all too often in Bracken Co. Guarantee Coach Breeze is here no longer than 3 years and he doesnt develop any kind of feeder program to help. Chad has proven he can win at the high school level and middle school level. He was a JV/Varsity assistant under Jon Wirth in the mid to late 90's in the girls program. My sources tell me Wirth was contacted Monday morning after Fite resigned about the job but turned it down. Wirth was also contacted by Kentucky Christian University about becoming their next head basketball coach. Perhaps if he took the Bracken job we wouldnt be having this discussion.

From my understanding site base was not all in agreement on this hire..The final decision was made by the AD.

Coach Jon Wirth was not the only assistant/head coach in the region that was contacted. Perhaps if a couple others would have accepted Brackens interest like they had for Coach Wirth, then I agree probably this discussion is not taking place. Coach Breeze will do just fine in Bracken County, give the guy a chance, he hasn't even arrived in Brooksville and we are already prediciting his exit.

The principal makes all final hires in a Kentucky public school. The AD can make the recommendation, but the principal consults with the SBDMC and then makes the hire.

Bracken County's Principal is the Athletic Director....

Ahhh...I see then. Well, then yes, the AD did hire the coach! :thumb: I didn't realize that some schools still did this. That's got to be a tough set up.

Preesrow, do you know anything about Coach Breeze,as far as how old? Does he have any middle school age children that are excellent athletes, etc.?;)

What amazes me is that you have a site base committee. I would have to believe that they had to be in favor of a local person, The athletic director and Coach Persinger, live only 1/4 apart the way the crow flys. I personally do not like the decision, Bracken Co . I believe he could have coached both teams (coach Persinger ) , Had about a 80% winning percentage what else do she want as a athletic director..

Site bases ONLY legal role is to be consulted, which is a very vague requirement.

They have no actual voice in the decision except for the Principal coming in and saying, "this is who I am hiring." They can voice dissent but it means NOTHING.

Not gonna comment on this further because Breeze is the coach. Did not say Persinger had coached beyond middle, said middle wasn't in same league as varsity. Did he coach JV under Fisher and McKinney? If you say so then evidently he did, don't know why you would go from JV to middle school. If your gonna knock the AD and the hiring of someone you know nothing about, then be able to take criticism as well. You was the one saying he could do things like Coach Whitaker, that is the definition of comparing. If he is as good as you say he is and mad about being passed over, maybe he should start looking at other schools

Hate the decision, BAD -BAD- BAD. Im saying this as a citizen of Bracken County that pays school taxes in Bracken County. Principal and AD should NEVER be the same , To much control,

I believe Coach Breeze is around 26-27 years of age, doesn't have middle school age children. Coach Breeze is formerly of Maysville, grew up right down the road from me. Nice try All In, but no bites here on the direction of your second question.:p
