Kentucky teams traveling in July

It's something how we all see things differently. It seem as though the closer the boys live to home, the better they are. :ylsuper:

That's a rational assessment.

DS 17 won their semifinal game against a team from DC. They advance to the Bronze championship game this afternoon. At last check, the team that beat them in the Gold bracket - King James - are most likely to win the tourney.

Shining Stars 16U bowed out in the semifinal of the silver bracket, losing by 1 on a last second shot to Connecticut Phenom Elite, which features 3 highly ranked players. They went 4-2 in the tournament.

That is a great showing at this level of competition!

Yea, it's a excellent site to where we can do a little boasting on our own.:ylsuper:

I would prefer to call it communicating our accomplishments.;)

Exactly.

If I am not mistaken, all college coaches are now off the road and are not watching games today. The "Live Period" ended yesterday and will start back up next week.

Congrats to U16 Shinning Stars any stats or news on how the NKY kids did?

Just got word that Derek Smith 17's won the Bronze Division in Morgantown. I'm sure ShooterX3 has the details. I heard they were down 20 at one point in the game.

Pretty good effort in Morgantown as they only lose one game against King James who I think was the eventual runner up in the Gold Division.

Great job by DS 17. I believe they are establishing themselves as one of the premier teams nationally. I am told Franklin County's (our own) Barrett Meyer who has been hobbled with an ankle sprain of late, came in with 20+ in the second half to lead the comeback. It is great he is recovering. :ylsuper:

I assume well. I believe that Kowolonek and the Boone kids start for that team.

This morning Ferguson had 34 points and 6-11 treys in the Bronze Division SF win over a team out of Washington, DC. Score was 104-89. Ethan Faulkner added 17 and Evan Faulkner had 13. The Elliott County trio accounted for 64 of the the 104 points!!! Donovan also had 17 points and Bevins chipped in with 10 points.

In the Bronze Final the DS All-Stars won 85-80 with Ferguson scoring 17 points and Barrett Meyers maybe having his biggest game of the summer with 20 points and five three-pointers. DS team did really well finishing 6-1 in this tournament losing only to the King James team by a few points.

In the three games yesterday and the SF this morning Ferguson totaled 99 points and 23 treys in those four games. Young man proved to the coaches in attendance that he is some kind of shooter from long range. The Elliott County trio continued to impress everyone around with their ability to flat out play the game we call basketball. This young men come from very humble roots and small town America, but have arrived on the NATIONAL SCENE with their sterling summer play. Elliott County may not win them all next year, but you'll have to convince the trio you can beat them on the court because they know now they can play with any and all takers!!! Last year as juniors they had some offensive games in the 120s and 130s. I look for some of that same high octane coming out of the gate in December. Probably going to be some long nights for some 16th region teams and even longer rides back to home. I have my front row seats reserved and my seat belt fastened tight. Should be a fun ride!!!!
