Favre pondering return...

Featured Replies

Hardly Roger Clemens. I was as big of a Clemens fans as anyone could be (still am for his accomplishments on the field). Favre imo is far from being compared to Clemens...................I didn't hear any steroid allegations/scandals or other accusations that have been around him like they have on Clemens.

Favre had a battle with pain killers qute some time ago and that I believe is all that has came out on him (and he was the one that told that). I put Favre far above Clemens as far as that goes.

Brett Favre is a class act.

I am not comparing their off the field lives, or on the field accomplishments. I am just making the comparrison that they both either retired/almost retired then came back numerous times. The last 4 or 5 years have been "the last year" for both of them, then they were surrounded with the drama about whether or not to come back, then finally did until now, supposely.

Favre is a class act, I did not say that he wasn't. I am a HUGE Favre fan.

Or Montana in a Kansas City Chiefs uniform, that was wrong.

Very wrong! Only thing worse is Jordan in a Wizards uniform!

The Packers better keep an eye on Aaron Rodgers and make sure he's okay. I' sure he has to be close to suffocation from holding his breathe so long. :D

If Favre does come back, I feel that works out best for Brian....

While I agree, he did take them to the AFC championship game and had Kimble Anders not dropped a TD pass, he would have taken them to the Super Bowl that year. He also beat SF and Steve Young that season on MNF. While I hated to see him in a KC uniform, he was still the man.

:thumb: I think that a lot of it as to do with that they are both fierce competitor's and love the game. That for any athlete is a hard thing to let go of and turn off let alone ones that were at the level of a Favre or Clemens.

I saw NFL live last night and Packer QB Al Harris was on and when ask about this (Favre's return) he said that he had personaly talked with Brett few times and the one lately Favre said that "he had the itch" (meaning to come back). Harris said that he didn't know if he would attempt to comeback or not, that he knew that "Favre missed the football but was unsure about the business end of it".

Right now Favre is listed as "retired/reserve" and his contract was due to end in two years I believe.

I don't think Favre will be back.

If he does want to, it puts the Packers in a bad situation. I think they're ready to move forward with Aaron Rodgers at QB and they've drafted Brian Brohm.

I was sick of the "Brett Favre Retirement Tour" two or three years ago...I just want it to be over for good. Please don't come back.

So they have Brian Brohm, Aaron Rodgers, and now Al Harris might play some QB too? lol...geez, is there room for Favre?
