Country Star McGraw Is His Own Security

Featured Replies

I think that's a great song, but it's not one of my favorites by him. I like more of his cowboy stuff, some new, but mostly older.

Yeah, I know what you mean. The song kinda hits home a little for me, plus I have had several sing-a-longs with guys at kareokee bars with that one, lol. Plus, some of you may not know but another reason I like him is because he is a brother in the same fraternity as myself. Makes me like him just a lil more.

I know, but I've always allowed for the fact that many others have really bad taste in music. I just try to steer them in the right direction. "Many Others" bought tons of Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys albums.

I think it's funny how Jim's always the one who's seen the light, while the mass's are so misguided. You should be a preacher Jim.

Yup he's a Pike correct? BTW, you weren't at a cookout Saturday were you MJ?

So, my imput (as if anyone wants it ) on all of this McGraw bashing and McGraw loving and all of that is that I like him. McGraw is not one of my favorite country artist but I really like most of his songs. He gets some great songs and imo country music is all about the song. Unlike most of rock and all of hip hop and crap (some call it rap) country music usually tells a story about real life.

Aside from all of this, Tim McGraw is married to Faith Hill and that fact alone gets him my admiration :D.

As for "real country music" I will say that people like Haggard, Jones, Alan Jackson, Daryl Singletary, George Strait,Joe Nichols, Mark Chestnut, Lee Ann Womack, Patty Loveless, Sara Evans, Loretta Lynn and many others along this line that I am no doubt not thinking of is imo "Real" and traditional country music.

Good stuff by him. But that doesn't make his music suck any less.

oldrambler...Joe Nichols is one of my favorites. I really do enjoy several of his songs.

I would think many hip hop fans would argue that their artists talk about life as well.

It looks almost staged to me. I would think Tim will be in a lawsuit if not. I've always liked Tim McGraw. Cowboy In Me is one of my all time favorites! I like how the band just played on and the security was slow as Christmas!

I guess that we know and appreciate good music (unlike another may claim)....:sssh::lol:

Maybe their life, not mine :D. I am just amazed that some can actually understand what the heck they are saying.

Pretty interesting, lol.

I would guess that the feeling is the same on that side as well in some cases. Its all about your environment. I doubt some in the hip hop world can relate to tractors and fields since some have never had an actual yard to mow growing up in the city. Your world is as strange to them as theirs is to you.
