Dunn, Ortiz, Ryan Howard, Pujols (when not injured). I believe only two of these guys did it last year, along with Pena from the Rays. The glaring difference though, outside of Dunn, these other guys also have hit for a decent average most of their carrer's. Career BA Howard .280 Ortiz .287 Pujols .332 Dunn .247 And usually leads the majors in strike outs.

One year they had the same number of wins, and one year the Reds had the better record. And that's while playing in the same division as the Red Sox and Yankees. You can rip Ricciardi all you want, but he's probably espousing a view that isn't uncommon around baseball, and he's apparently done a better job of building competitive teams than his counterparts in Cincinnati. Not even relevant, we obviously know he is better than some of our basic one and done GM's. So because Ricciardi is slightly better than awful the past six years, you are praising, good point.:dancingpa

June 21, 200818 yr Take a look at Dunn's stats the past 5 years: 2004: .266 AVG, 46 HR, 102 RBI, 108 BB, 6 SB & a whopping 195 K's 2005: .247 AVG, 40 HR, 101 RBI, 114 BB, 4 SB & 168 K 2006: .234 AVG, 40 HR, 92 RBI, 112 BB, 7 SB & a whopping 194 K's 2007: .264 AVG, 40 HR, 106 RBI, 101 BB, 9 SB & 165 K 2008 (to date): .228 AVG, 18 HR, 43 RBI, 61 BB, 1 SB & 72 K Dunn, for his entire 8 year career, has an on base % of .382. And he's only 28.
