June 19, 200818 yr I DROVE MY CAR!!!!! I woke up this morning and decided that it was time to give this driving stuff a try. So after MrRk went to work I got up and took a shower, dressed all my wounds and off I went. Of course I drove his car:D why take a chance with mine:lol::lol::lol:Anyway, I took myself out to breakfast and then I went to the drugstore to get more bandages and then I went by and saw a friend and ended up talking to her for about 2 hrs., then I took myself to lunch and then I came home. It was AMAZING!!!! After being in the house for so long and only going out for a few minutes, or to the doctors and always with someone controling the whole situation, it was amazing to make your own decisions on where you were going and when you were coming home. I will admit that I am a little tired but boy this kind of tired sure feels good!!!!!:dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa :dancingpa Now drive your rear-end up here. :lol:

This little husband of mine is not letting me get by with much:D but I promise that as soon as we are comfortable, then we will be up!!!!!!!! I was so thrilled to get out by myself. I cannot have caffeine and trust me, he lets me have nothing with caffeine. Well today when I got in the car the first thing I headed to was a diet coke with caffeine. Hey, just one....and I loved it and he doesn't have to know a darn thing....:banana::banana::banana:

June 20, 200818 yr WHOOPIE!!!!!!!!!! WHOOPIE!!!!!!!!! Now I know that MrRk isn't going to let me drive to far for a little while but hey just this little bit around town was great. I can't even explain to anyone how wonderful it was to get in a car and just drive myself to wherever I wanted to be. I never realized how confining it was to have to wait for someone else to take you somewhere. I will never take this for granted again! :thumb:I know one person who can understand where you are coming from on the driving bit.....try doing that for four/five years....I lost count. Heck, what's a year here or there?:lol: I am THRILLED for you!!! One diet coke a month will not hurt you...at least I hope not!

ONE ------- ONE -------ONE- I want more than one diet coke a month....I hate this caffeine free stuff....it has no taste....Although the doctor told me on Tuesday that I might not have any taste for a couple of months.....and I believe him because nothing taste very good. I can't get anything cold enough either and he said that that isn't unusual. I can hold ice in my mouth and it isn't cold. I will continue to sneek a real diet coke and Pete will be none the wiser:D Or will he:sssh:

I don't really think that it's the caffeine free diet coke that is not tasting good.....I just don't think that my taste is quite right yet. To be honest, nothing taste good to me. This will mean nothing to anyone but me but just a few minutes ago I got my feet into a different pair of shoes. Every since my surgery I've only been able to wear house shoes, flip flops (men's size) or this old pair of green shoes I've had forever, becaues my feet have been swollen so badly. Today my feet look a little smaller so to try it out I got out two pair of shoes and my feet went right into them.:banana::banana::banana::banana:
