Yes, Elliott Co. will have 5 players in the top 10 but they better enjoy it while it lasts. I dont know what they have in the way of middle school players, but it will be hard to replace the 4 or more they will be losing. I would have to agree that Hall for Fairview should be one of the top 10. And if the Whitten (correct spelling is Witten) you are talking about is from Lewis Co., I would have to think that him and Terrence Smith will be in the running for the 10th spot but a player to keep an eye on is the new player from Lewis.

Keys off the bench may be the development of 6'5" Jacob Ison and senior Jared Flannery. Jared is an excellent golfer who will probably get a DIV I Scholarship. He can shoot the ball really well from outside, but hasn't got any crunch time minutes of experience at the varsity level. Most of his shooting was displayed in the JV games last year. Can he match Maynard's shooting?? We don't know because he hasn't gotten a chance to prove it at the varsity level?? There were several JV games where he showed the ability to really stroke it from outside. He has excellent rotation and form on his shot. We will just have to wait and see!!!

I know Ferg, Ethan and Evan are really good players but if you don't think Hall is close to their talent level I wouldn't want you recruiting for me. The kid can flat out play.

Elliott Co. will still consist of 5 key players, and then 1 or 2 that can come of the bench and contribute in big games. Ferg and the Faulkners are the top 3 in the region, T. As for the 63rd, I hope to think Lewis Co. will be the front-runner but its hard to tell this early. Behind them I would put Raceland, then Greenup, and then another long year for Russell.

Yes I agree Elliott may have the best starting five in the region and possibly the state. #6 position will be manned by Jon Morgan who has proven to be a capable varsity player and started as a sophomore. The big key is somebody stepping up to fill the #7 position vacated by Maynard. Whether it is Flannery or Ison or both in a dual role that #7 position is a huge ??? mark and must be answered if Elliott is to advance deep into March at Rupp. You can survive and advance with seven, but six leaves no margin of error and with HS kids there is always room for error. Overall DEPTH will be their biggest obstacle and challenge to overcome in advancing deep into March.
