There are several schools that have high respect for Scott H.S. because of head coach Brad Carr. He would be welcomed at a lot of places to be head coach. Very well prepared and solid coach.

Wow...sounds like a big love fest in Taylor Mill these days. Sorry boys but I believe he is happily married!

Forget Obama and McCain...Carr all the way in 08!!!:ylsuper:

Haha very funny.

But Carr really has brought a new respect to their program and is the reason there team succeeds. He may not get the BEST talent but he makes up for that in hustle and great coaching

There is no reason why it shouldn't be, Carr is one of the best coaches in the area, and Scott is always going to be a tough draw come tourney time as long has he stays at Scott.

I agree.

I think Nikola will be their main go to guy. But look out for Jacob Neiderregger because I heard from some people who have seen him summer say he is much improved and might be a big surprise this coming season.

I certainly hope so, he has all the tools to be a great high school scorer, he just needs everything to click in.

How many years has Carr been at Scott? Does anyone know his current winning percentage?

I agree, this is the one team I DON'T want to draw in the regional tourney.

Well after last year's first round game Goldie, maybe you and GRC should just stay away from the 37th District completely...

You would like it if GRC stayed away right. Would that mean that maybe you guys would have a chance or something like that?:sssh:

Let's get back to topic, Scott.

How many years has Carr been at Scott? Does anyone know his current winning percentage?

This will be his fifth year, His winning percentage isn't great, but He gets the most out of the talent he has each and every year. In his 4 years he has 3 regional tourney apperance (3 consecutive years) 2 regional semi apperances and 1 District Championship

04/05 9-18

05-06 15-14 regional tourney apperance

06/07 22-11 regional tourney semi-finalist

07/08 11-20 district champs regional tourney semi-finalist

So his career record at Scott is 57-63. This year his numbers should increase as he has the most talented group he has had yet, with the most varsity experience. Ask any team in the 10th if they want to see a Carr coached team come march, especially Campbell Co.

Personally I think that the 06/07 group was his most talented group but then again its like comparing apples and oranges, its just a matter of opinion.

Team with Nate Sharp, Chris Quigley, Danny Miller, Kenny Felts, & Ryne Smith was more talented than this years team. That team managed to win 20 games with one of their best players in Quigley missing second half of season with injury.

I might have to change my way of thinking after the season but they still need to prove it on the court.

Scott will be very competitive in the 10th this year.

This group is defintly more experinced, and unlike the 06/07 group, will be able to have balanced scoring, as in they will be able to score inside and outside, and will be able to play either fast or slow. The 06/07 group was defintly talented, no where as deep as this years team, but you always new that group was going to score a lot of points.
