Scott 2008/2009

Indeed GRC is loaded with height. It will be very tough for anyone in the region to match up with them height wise. The battle for that 5th spot with Neiderregger and Smith will be interesting. Smith did play more last year, and your right he is a true point guard. We'll see how things go with that. You never know though, Andrew Wilson might end up getting that 5th spot with it being his senior year and all. Its all up for grabs right now, still a while to go untill the season starts!

Just because Andrew Wilson is a Senior doesn't mean Coach Carr will start him. Look at last year, there were 3 Seniors and only 1 started every game. It'll definately be interesting though with that 5th spot but I think its going to be Kellen Smith just so that opens EJ and Nick up to score.

Your totally right about Carr not starting him just because he is a senior. Andrew Wilson is also playing football this year. So he'll have a late return. We will see what happens.

The philosophy of most coaches are the best players play. I guess I am old school and love to see seniors be given the opportunity to play and start after the hours of hard work and commitment into a program. Let them experience the excitement of starting on their home court in front of their fans. You never know how players will develop when given the chance. Of course I think with my heart not my head, and remember my high school days. My how things have changed!

What is the status of Nick Hiller, someone saw him at a football game and said he was wearing a cast.

I would add to this that if it's close, the younger player gets the nod. If a coach is going to get basically the same thing out of two players, why not get the younger one the experience so he can take it to another level the following year?

That would be a huge loss if he were out for any tie frame during basketball. I guess the good news would be that there is a lot of time before basketball jumps into full swing.

Hiller hurt his achilis sp? tendon, it's partially torn I believe. There is a chance he might have to undergo surgery after the cast comes off. I'm pretty sure he will be ok and ready to go in time for basketball season.

If he has to have surgery on his achilles tendon, he could possibly miss his entire senior season. Hopefully the cast will do the trick and surgery won't be needed.

It would be a shame for him to miss his entire season. The cast comes off soon so we'll see what happens.

Jake Neiderregger is probably one of the best players at Scott he should start.

Rule #13

Jake Neiderregger is probably one of the best players at Scott he should start.

He is and that is why he is on the team. He will get a lot of mintues rather they be starting or bench minutes.

Correcting quote

I know that everyone of the Scott's players have been in the weight room and playing AAU basketball all summer. Jacob Neiderregger could possibly be the 5th starter or 6th man. I believe him and Smith will will share those two spots. I also agree with Oconner and Nikola. Those two together, will cause lots of problems.

Scott's best player will be the big Oconner worked extremey hard and has grown into those 17 sized shoes, hit weights hard I'm pretty sure he is benching around 275 lbs!!

Oconner is still about 6"6 190. Benching maybe 175 not nothing near 275. I know this for a fact.

No dig on O'Conner, but he still has a lot of work to do, He is starting to figure out to use his frame though. If he truly is the best player for Scott this year, then he has improved a lot. He is not anywhere to benching 275. O'Conner will be a lot better than he was last year, he is a very hard worker.
