Scott 2008/2009

I look for the Eagles to be one of the top teams in the region. With the tough schedule and the toughest district in the region, will only make them that much better and get the boys experience playing tough competition. Coach Carr has always said "its not a sprint its a marathon."

Coach Carr is correct. He'll have them ready come tournament time. With Campbell, and Brossart in the same district as Scott, it makes things a hole lot tougher for them. I believe they will make another good run in the post season, just like they did this year.

Yes he is. His dad played at Cov Latin and graduated at the age of 16 or 17 and played at Thomas More I believe.

I believe his dad tried out for the Celtics, any truth?

Yes his dad did try out for the Celtics I believe. He also played over seas in a pro league I believe. Great guy, very classy.

Agree 100%!

I thought it was the Knickerbockers.

I always thought his Dad had played a couple years for the Celtics.

Can Scott score enough points to win the big games and who will have to step up this year for Scott to be in the hunt for the 10th region?

Looking forward to our game with Scott on Jan 3rd here at GRC. Glad they were finally added to our schedule. This is my darkhorse in the 10th region....they scare me.

Scott should be a much improved offensive team from last season. They should be able to go a little deeper and play a little faster. I think they will be able to put 5 guys on the floor who can knock down shots.

It's a given with a Coach Carr team that they will play hard and defend.

I agree.

I think Nikola will be their main go to guy. But look out for Jacob Neiderregger because I heard from some people who have seen him summer say he is much improved and might be a big surprise this coming season.

Jan 3rd. is definetly marked on their schedule. They love playing GRC. Always close games, last two, down to the wire! Neiderregger has improved a lot. Scott will have a tall line up it seems like this year. Oconner - 6'7 Nikola 6'4 Neiderregger 6'3 Murray 6'1 and Hiller 6'0. That could cause some problems for other teams.

GRC is loaded with tall players for the next 3 years. We have Rogers 6'8. Pervis 6'8. Zollo 6'8. Daniels 6'8 A new kid...Andrew.? probably will see mostly JV is 6'9 Then throw in Hatton and Stenzel around 6'1 or 6'2 .

I look forward to the Jan matchup.....just hope we dont' matchup in the region again.

I think you will see the Sophmore Smith start over Neiderregger, just because he is a pure point guard, and Carr loves having them run his offense.

I think Smith will earn the other starting spot because that allows Hiller and Murray to do what they do best and score. Murray is more of a 2 guard who is a pure scorer. Hiller is more of a slasher/scorer than a primary ballhandler.

Niederegger will push for playing time but you also have Andrew Wilson and Stefan Hagfors in the mix to come off the bench.
