June 3, 200818 yr Im STILL convinced that had Bush not gone down two years ago, we would have won the N.C.
June 3, 200818 yr That tears me up. NOT Bush getting hurt wasnt the reason uvel didnt win the NC. I disagree. If Bush plays in the Rutgers game, UofL has more than 103 yards rushing and wins that game. That would have put them in the championship game instead of the Orange Bowl. Once there, and with Michael Bush, I like their chances against either OSU or Florida.

Stay intellectually honest.

Wasn't Urrutia playing with a broken foot against Wake, though? And, again, all sans Bush whom the entire season had been built around with Brohm? I agree, we should all stay intellectually honest. Bush would've been a big plus on what ended up being a great season regardless.

UL had a great year that year but to suggest they were awesome every game except for one half of play is inaccurate. It was a great year and would've been even greater with Bush. :thumb:

Wake had that lead for about 2:00, but if Bush were around, I feel Louisville would not have been playing Wake, so in this case, that argument is moot.

Odds are, Brian doesn't even hurt his finger if Michael plays. On the flip side, maybe Louisville would've lost more, though that doesn't seem likely.
