Actually, South Laurel fighting/not fighting won't factor in. The KHSAA will rule regardless if South Laurel decides not to fight it. It will all depend on legitimate change of address, custodial change, and the "unknown" factor.

 

There have been a few rulings lately that have really made me scratch my head.... I hope the kid gets to play right away.

Sounds good for his dad, and his family, and the kid good luck to him.

Chad to KC was a done deal long before success at the NIKE camps.

It would not have mattered if he came in 1st or last, he was leaving to live with his Dad.

His Dad got custody this year and let him stay at SL through the school year.

Both parents are originally from Barbourville.

Father would have got custody earlier, but Iraq kept it from happening.

Legitimate move across the board and SL is letting it go through.

Sounds legit to me then. I can't see the KHSAA not ruling him eligible but I've seen stranger things from them. :creepy:

With all the rumors about Cody Miller, maybe this is the off season, blockbuster trade we've all been waiting for.

SL has nothing to do with the transfer only KHSAA.

 

Also heard from a friend here in town the Merida was injured at a combine and may not be able to play late in the year if he is eligible. Regardless I wish him the best but he could have some issues with KHSAA.

Knox Central returns some very good backs. I don't think their season is going to hinge on any transfers.

Khsaa will take a good look at this deal, you dont just get released as easy as daddy is saying.

SL lost a lot especially at their skill positions from last season and now a transfer, I see them having a rough year, JMO.

Their skilled players have been replaced, 2 deep at running back Quillen kid is faster than Chad in the 40, some Miller kid is really turning heads.

I'm going to agree with SB on the upcoming year.

You can replace skill players with warm bodies, but that does not mean they are replaced 100%. I'm sure Tim Tebow could be "replaced" at quarterback. Would the new QB be Tebow? Doubt it.

Speed is good, also, but does not always equate once on the field. Takes time to develop and prove. We have had some fast kids in the past, but what makes a back is his ability to create, move and deceive.

Quillen has great moves and alot of speed, as for the skilled players we replace one year starters all the time with more great receivers. The improved deffence is why this will be a special season.
