KC returns their leading rusher (Dexter Carnes) from last season but one can never have too many good running backs. Injuries are all too common.

 

He may get a few carries then, he will help Knox Central the most as a DB in my opinion. Chad bring's alot of speed to the table.

Chad got word today (from the KHSAA) that he is 100% eligible for any and all sports for this season at Knox Central.

He is at practice everyday, he is cleared to attend KC. Everything is in order for the kid to play.

That's great, I was worried he might have to sit this season. Is Chad going to run the ball for the JV or do you think he will get some reps for the varsity. I know he will start on defence, however with Central's 2 older running backs I figure they will run him some in JV to keep him sharp in case the other backs get banged up, plus it would gain him some experience for next season.

I would say Varsity only. I think, older or not, the best athletes will get the reps. If they are better, they will, if he is better, he will. Chad will be utilized to his skills.

I would say that it's a safe bet that Chad will start on defence, however it seems like a bit of a reach to think he will get most of the reps with a kid like Dexter in the backfield.

It all depends. We have had a lot of success here (LC) utilizing three backs.
