That's the one thing I believe Kobe still needs to work on. Yes he's great and what not, but he complained about not getting any help, now that he's happy he's got to learn that he can pass.

Spurs are letting this one slip away. Manu is having a horrible game.

 

Manu is going to have to play better the rest of this series if the Spurs want to win the series.

Lakers stole that game and thats a huge W. They did not play good at all.

I don't know that he struggled too much tonight. Last I saw he had 26 or so. I agree that it helped in that it got the ball out of his hands and with Manu playing so bad they were not able to score late.

Didn't get to see one play of the game and am not happy about it. Boys, this childish stuff is pretty annoying and I know I've been a part of it too. I just read through the past 3 pages of this thread and there were maybe 10 quality posts. Let's just appreciate this series because every game is going to be a battle. I really don't see many blowouts no matter where the game is played. I think the Lakers will ride this momentum and take Game 2.

Did you watch the game? Duncan had like 30 points and 18 rebounds. The reason the Spurs lost was their terrible fourth quarter, and Manu struggling.

Ginobili shot just 3-for-13, and Jackson credited Vujacic for his defensive work on the Spurs' star.

 

"Sasha had an assignment out there tonight and he played Ginobili very well," Jackson said.

 

As to why the Spurs lost, maybe a note should be taken out of Parker and Popovich book for you Spurs fans:

 

"No one gives any excuse," Parker said. "We were in pretty good shape, had a great lead. We had a great chance to win the game and we just didn't play well enough in the fourth quarter."

 

"They probably wore us down to some degree, I'm sure," Popovich said. "And then, with that, we made very poor decisions. The ball stopped moving. Shots at the end of the clock, no penetration to the rim, all jump shots and they deserve credit for that and they came back and had a hell of a win."

I read all the posts. During the game all many did was complain about the calls and no calls. (There was a debate for almost two pages)

 

As for the plane ride...Even Popovich said the plane debacle had nothing to do with his team's late-game problems.

 

As many minutes as poor poor Manu may have played in the last game do you not think the other players were just as tired considering the minutes they played? I don't buy the whole being tired excuse. This is the playoffs. Nobody else seemed to look tired.
