As for the LB's, Watkins is a shoe in, maybe Goforth. Fritz could see some time there but Id say he will stay on the offensive side. Campbell may get some time in the middle if someone steps up at DE.

Campbell seems like a natural MLB.

I'm not sure, I'd say Lewallen goes about 215 and Goforth is probably around 190. He could be a good guard in the mold of Andy Millard a few years ago. They seem to be similar in size. Coach Jewell has seemed to be a fan of the leaner quicker guards in the past rather than the prototypical hoss cats so to speak. Millard, Felts, etc come to mind.

Corbin often played a 4 LB set last year with only 1 safety, which leads me to ask the following questions.

1. Are they going to a 3 LB set?

2. Who will take Campbell's spot at DE?

3. Rossi, Fritts & O'Kuma not in the mix at LB?

4. Will Freeman continue to play DB as well as QB?

5. Sewell & Crawford figure to start at DB's, who else, Sowders? Mitchell? Taylor? Freeman?

It will be exciting to see Lance playing quarterback this season. He has a tremendous amount of athletic ability and I am sure that Coach Farris will love the fact he can add some new twist to the offensive side of the ball.

One is rover and they can line up at DB or LB. The d has not changed. And the 3 you spoke of is still in the mix.But Fritts don't care about d to much.

It looks like we have some good options at the LB spot as all of those kids mentioned are pretty good athletes. I guess that Madon played in the rover spot last year, any idea who will fill it this year?

Have heard they will scrimmage Danville next Saturday 8/16. Not sure where.

That should be a good test to see how the Hounds stack up. If you find out where they are scrimmaging, let us know. I'd like to see that one. I'm not sure that work up here in Lexington will allow me to make as many games as I had initially hoped to attend this season.
