Who are Corbin's strongest players?

 

One would have to think Michael Campbell would be one the strongest Hounds physically. Not sure of his current numbers but I am sure they are way up there. Hopefully he will get his big hands on the football and chew up many yards this season. I would like to see him and Kevin French have big senior seasons. These two kids have been really dedicated to the football team and deserve to go out with a blast.

They lost to Knox Central in the final game.

 

Anyone have any info on this? Was this a multi team camp? If so, who was the overall winner and who else looked good?

Yes, I would have to agree...Michael Campbell is the strongest player Corbin has right now...benches 405..squats 550..runs a 4.8 fourty....he will be a hoss to take down this year

I know Campbell is that strong, however a 5.0 forty at best.

You got it. And I was told 395 is what his bench is. Any way you look at it he will be a load.

Does anyone know what the total number of players on the Redhound roster will be? It seems like over the past few years, Coach Jewell has been able to get more and more kids out on the football field. That is a sign of great things if we can keep adding more and more players.

I am guessing about 50 to 55 players. Coach Steve Jewell is a fine man, indeed. He teaches the kids more than just football and cares for them on and off the field.

Watkins might be the best college prospect on the team. Good size, speed and strength. He is also a first class young man with a great family and a very solid student from what I am told.

It is really hard for a kid to play division 1 in any sport. How many have came from this area in the last 10 years or so? Jarod Lawson was a heck of a high school player, but struggled to hang around the SEC level of play and was a preferred walkon. I would say the Hounds have Watkins, Fritts, Big Jessie and a couple of young kids that might play at the next level. That level more than likely is the Mid South Conference. But hey getting your education paid for is most important.

I would say that Watkins is the best bet. Jarrod Lawson was set to get a scholarship his second year but the ACL injury ended his playing. Brooks stated numerous times that Jarrod would have been the starting fullback as a true freshman had he not redshirted when Corbin callers would call in on Monday nights. The preferred walkon status was due to Jarrod not getting his test scores on time and a miscommunication with the UK staff thinking that he had committed to Western Kentucky.
