I took Boston in 7. I don't watch the NBA much at all untill it gets to the playoffs and then only if any teams that I have an interst in are in it.

Back in the day of what I refer to as the real NBA I was a Celtic fan all the way. Bird, McHale, Parrish, Cowen, Havlicheck, White, Ainge, Russell and many others. That was basketball. I do like this Celtic team and I like watching K. Garnett play. I also like the Pistons and really like Tayshaun Prince.

This series imo should be a classic one. I do think that Boston is going to have to win a game in Detroit though.

Whoa.... I would take KG, then Billups, Sheed, Pierce, Rip, then Tay. JMO... On a side note, maybe Ray Allen will decide to show up for this series?

I agree.

And IF Ray Allen decides to finally show up I'd take him over Tay.

I'm taking the Pistons in six, I just think the Pistons play more of a team then the Celtics.JMO

Very comical. If Ray decides to show? He was heavily guarded in the Cavs series, wasn't his choice.

Or it could be the serious family issues he is going through right now.

Could be that too. I didn't know he was going through serious family issues. During yesterday's game all they kept saying was his ineffectiveness caused by the Cavs defense.

I would possibly consider switching Pierce and Rip, but I'll stick with Rip. I think Tayshaun is very underrated. I'd definitely take him over anyone besides KG.

The Pistons will win this one in 5 or 6 games...

I think that's been the biggest thing. It's not like Ray has been swarmed by defenders every second of every game. He's missed a lot of shots he made during the regular season.

I think he's letting his personal life affect his game too much. But considering the circumstances, I can't even imagine what he's going through.

Boston in 7.

Boston takes game 1 on short rest. Rondo looked good. He hit a big 3 in the final 2 minutes.

For those of you who said the C's aren't good enough to beat the Pistons, I think how they were dominated last night proves it's the other way around. Celtics in 6.

Not a good start for the Pistons. However, there are hopefully six more opportunities.

Yeah, just like those two blowouts by New Orleans proved the Spurs weren't good enough to beat them...er...wait...how did that turn out again?

This is the NBA Playoffs, not March Madness. It lasts 3 years, not 3 weeks. It's best-of-seven, not one-and-done.

Seriously, can anyone tell me, will the NBA Finals or the World Series end first?:D

If Chauncey can't give Detroit anything, it's going to hurt them. He certainly didn't look that great last night.

Regardless, I'll stick with Detroit...Boston has yet to prove they can win a road game and I still feel confident that the Pistons can get one of the four in Beantown. Not that matters, neither of these teams will beat Los Angeles or San Antonio, IMO.

Detroit will win game 2. Perhaps we'll see what the C's are made of when they're placed in a situation where they have to win on the road...

Then again, maybe I'm wrong. Maybe they'll become the first team to ever secure home-court advantage throughout the playoffs and win the championship by going 16-12 and winning every home game. I doubt it, but that would be interesting to say the least.
