May 26, 200818 yr Dusty want's this game real bad...Can someone tell Thom B that? Going on and on and on about how the Reds have used two starters, and the Padres none. Is it that hard for him to figue out, this game is huge? It's not that huge IMO. Risking at least the next week for one win isn't a good thing IMO...
May 26, 200818 yr Everyone, but Cueto has been used. I'm not sure whey they didn't use him first since he had more rest. I wonder what position player they will go to first. There are not any position players left either, are there? I'd put Griffey out there. Or Paul Janish. Maybe mix them up and put Janish on the hill against the righties and bring in Stanton, I mean Griffey, for the lefties.
May 26, 200818 yr Author LRCW, you know I love ya, and I don't mean to be a jerk, but this is the second time today (the other time was in a direct quote in a newspaper story!) I've seen this phrase misused, and I just can't let it go again. The correct parlance is "I'd just as soon ..." You are correct, and I'm embarrassed by my post, but I blame it on watching 17 plus innings of frustrating baseball.
May 26, 200818 yr Dusty hadn't much choice. Went through a few pitchers trying to hold late leads...what was it 8th, 9th, and 11th?
May 26, 200818 yr I had planned on starting the grill about an hour ago, then settling in just in time to watch what I thought would be the 10:10 p.m. first pitch of this game ...
May 26, 200818 yr Dusty hadn't much choice. Went through a few pitchers trying to hold late leads...what was it 8th, 9th, and 11th? More on Belisle than anyone. Can't get out of the 5th and from there they went through the pen pretty quick...
May 26, 200818 yr Is there any excuse in your mind why a major leaguer cannot consistently lay down a bunt?
