Duncan has made either the first or second team all 11 years he has been in the league.

May 13, 200818 yr It's great that the NBA recogonizes defensive players...The younger generations tend to think it's all about offense but hopefully with role models like Kobe and KG being recogonized for their D it will remind kids that it's still a major part of the game. Afterall, defense wins games, right?

Prince Battier Howard Paul Bell I do not think it is a coincidence all ten of the first and second teamers (not sure who is on the 3rd team) made the playoffs and 7/10 are still playing. Bell and Camby were eliminated by teams that still have 1st team all defensive players still playing.

May 13, 200818 yr And of course you do. I do not think Kobe is a good defensive player. I would definitely want Bowen guarding an opposing teams #1 scorer over Kobe. Bowen has done a fantastic job on some pretty good scorers in the past. Would you rather have Kobe guarding the opposing teams best player, or Bowen?

I have seen all of these guys torched by competition on many occassions. My two favorite teams in the league are San Antonio and LA, so I am cool with who always makes the list
May 13, 200818 yr I think Tayshaun could easily be flopped with Marcus Camby! Camby led the league in blocked shots. I would say trade Tayshaun for Bowen.

Being good at defense means you limit the number of times you get beat.
