If he did that would fall right into the GCHS history timeline like when Phillip Haywood (Belfry) applied for the football job and they didn't hire him.

 

I hope for Coach Sammons sake that Mr. Fraley has grown up or changed his opinion of basketball players playing football. I remember a few years back Mr. Fraley treated some football players very poorly. I hope this does not become another factor that would hurt both programs.

It was my understanding Coach Sammons was not going to be ask to return.

I would just like to congratulate Coach Floyd a truly honest man, he said he was staying at little ol Raceland and was telling the truth unlike a whole lot of other coaches.

Congrats to Tim Fraley. I think he will be a good thing for the GCHS basketball program. He needs to run that program his way and not let certain parents and grandparents run that program for him. This has been a problem year after year and will continue to be if he lets it.

That was not a true state title in 77. They got killed in the final game against a team from Louisville. So really it was just a runner up finish.

Folks, let's get this one back on track and discuss the new coach at GCHS. I wish Tim and his new staff luck. For that matter, I wonder if anyone in the know at GC has a clue who he'll ask to sit on his bench to assist. Or are those positions dictated by some other entity?
