Word was he asked for to much money. I guess he must be making a killing over in Perry County to ask for that big of an amount. Yes he is a great coach, but give me a break, this is not a college position.

I've heard of coaches in some schools making close to 15,000 with package deals dealing with radio, camp, and salary.

GC should have payed whatever it took, A full "greenhouse" from a winning program would pay off his salary pretty darn quick.

I heard he makes about double of what Greenup paid last season. You don't get stuff if you don't ask, worst they can say is no, it is not like he don't already have a good job.

So, do you not think that Fraley can develop a winning program? You've made no bones about your dislike for him. I hope that you can separate that and support whomever is at the helm. And if you and the rest of the GC faithful will do that, perhaps they can return to what they once were.

I have already stated on here that I will as I aways do support GC and its coaches. I hope Fraley is the right choice, honestly I do. My point was the fact that I know Hatcher can win and build a winning program. 500 wins doesnt mean you just got lucky. I guess I just dont have much faith in the admin. making the right choices, and really can anyone here blame me for that.

Point taken. And I don't disagree. However, wouldn't you consider that Fraley did something similar at RH? If you look at where they started when he took over to what they became, well, I'd say he did rather well by RH.

Yeah he did, but I'm not sure that he has a Euton/Jackson talent to help with that, GC does have alot of young talent I just dont know if it is of that calibur. Only time will tell, I hope your right Doc, and I hope I'm wrong. I dont say that very often (ask my wife) but in this case I will say it, no doubt.

Why have they not announced this to the public yet?

I am very proud of the administration to do what is solely best for kids. Tim Fraley will bring stability, a familiar face, and a Greenup connection that none of the other coaches could bring to the table. I wish the Greenup program only the best for the future. Baker, Ailster, and the whole bunch should be commended for getting this one right. :thumb:The green icon is for "Duck". :laugh:

Knowing what Baker's remarks about the basketball program in the past has been it is hard to believe he has had a complete change of heart. Of course this move may be strategic as the pending court case from Coach Hicks may have Baker back peddling on his negative attitude towards the GC Basketball Program as a whole.
