Our military forces are still there too, not just in Iraq.

I think the Taliban had taken control, but I believe there was a civil war going on. I could be wrong. Afghan forces have helped the U.S. if I'm not mistaken. Regardless, it wasn't necessarily a war against Afghanistan. The U.S. went in to Afghanistan to get Bin Laden, take out the Taliban and destroy al-Qaeda.

There was a Boston Tea Party and there was a Boston Massacre but they were two different, non-related events. The Boston Massacre occured in 1770 and the Boston Tea Party occured in 1773.
