Thanks Dark Horse 78 for clearing that up for TB&G. It was in fact a defensive practice intrasquad scrimmage. You really assume anything, you know what happens. What can we look for from the Raiders in 2008 TB&G.

Calm down, 'ol#70. I am sure that I wasn't the only one that that sent up a red flag to in how it was worded. Aren't you glad I asked it and we cleared the air on it, as opposed to others thinking it and not saying a word?

 

The Raiders are at camp as we speak. They are just now able to go full pads and some of that has been limited due to heat index, but up until now, I have been pleased. We lost a lot of seniors last year, but there is some interesting young talent...that, and they still have quite the leader in Coach Poynter.

Some people need to quit making the little smart remarks to other members, some of you are right on the line, and if you cross it, you will be on the outside looking in.

Sophomore Magness and Yancey are having a great battle at the QB position, which will make both better.

I heard if Yancey slacks off ANY, Magness will take his spot. If Magness does indeed take his spot, what position will Yancey play? Henry Co. may have the best linebackers in all 3a. With Erick Butler, Cody Hinkel, and Steven May. That is down rite nasty!

Football time in the Bluegrass is upon us. Lots of questions to be answered in the next two weekends with all important scrimmages taking place everywhere. Henry County will be tested against North Bullitt, North Hardin and Valley. I think they will give a good account of themselves. Only time will tell.

Went to the Henry County field and watched the four teams participate. It was a round robin type scrimmage. Henry outscored North Bullitt and Dalton Cissell. Tied with Valley and were beaten by an impressive North Hardin. UK has a keeper in the N.H. QB King. He was liked greased lightning.

Henry County will be a team to be dealt with this year in 3A. I know many already have their favorites, but do not be surprised if the Wildcat make a lot of noise this season. You heard it here first. What about the Raiders scrimmage TB&G?

Compliments on your new facilities. Hopefully I can get a tour when we visit there for the first two games of the season.

 

The Raiders looked really good in their first scrimmage against Bishop Brossart. Of course, they didn't really get tested. QB is looking fine, line is small, but we have many talented younger guys. Senior Treavor Smith, who just lost his father two weeks ago to cancer, will be a factor to be reckoned with this season. Everyone is looking for us to be down, but we might just be better!
