UK Fans Need to Stay Off MySpace

Featured Replies

After Hopson decided to go play for Pearl, UK fans got on to rag him... only to be told off by UK's future starting QB, Curtis Pulley.

I'd link, but I imagine that's a no-no here.

How can we prove it was UK's fans?

People are absolutely ridiculous...UK fans are singled out here, and rightfully so, but things like this go on across the board. For starters, people need to take a step back and realize that it's just a game and then they need to realize that these kids are making tough decisions about their futures. It's not a personal attack against UK...just a kid making what he feels is the best move for his future and going to the place he's most comfortable. It is absurd.

Just think about things that have happened this year...like the way Kevin Love was treated by the Oregon fans.

Society is changing for the worse. You shouldn't have to, but you should expect stuff like this now. I think most of the fans don't even go near Myspace. I never have and never plan on it.

As for Pulley, he's at UK and needs to remember, even though he is doing the right thing and defending someone, he'll be in front of those same fans he's confronting and he has a LOT of time left to hear from them!!

Well said, sir. Well said.

I wondered about that, too.

IU, U of L, and UT fans could be posing. That's the thing about the Internet - you never know who is on the other keyboard.

Or Eric Gordon by the Illini fans.

It would be a pretty elaborate prank to create an account named "We Are Kentucky!!" change your entire theme to match UK, get a couple hundred friends (including every UK basketball player) and have the profile for over a year (the comments go back that far, and they're ALL about UK) just so you could fake being a UK fan.

Like it or not, they're genuine 18%ers.

This is what I'm thinking as well.

Still no proof.

Still no proof.

It'd make it in a court of law. If I came up with IP addresses and sworn documents, you'd still say there was doubt in your mind.

It's not that hard to find the page. Go look for yourself.

^ So this is one fan? Still doesn't make it right. There are idiots everywhere. The internet just makes them easier to find.
