Reds win tomorrow and they finish their first homestand 5-2 against 2 darn good teams. :thumb:

Windows open here at the house. Love the sound of the fireworks:dancingpa

So how does everyone feel after week 1 now? Panic from Opening day gone yet?

You know how this works, the Reds next loss and the season is over.

But yes, bullpen has bent, but not broken and given up the big inning.

The two "kids" looked great in their first starts, you know Harang is going to pitch better. The offense is going to continue to hit and come around.

This could get mighty interesting if this team continues to win games, might not take a lot to win the Central.

I just got back from a great game. Volquez looked outstanding. The pen did an awesome job getting him out of a jam in the 6th. I FINALLY got to see Jr hit one out. They have to leave Keppy in even when Gonzo gets back. I am still impressed how C Pat is playing.

Today was a great day to go watch a game. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but I think we might have 3 stud pitchers. Volquez looked great, nice off speed pitches. He threw, I think, right around 100 pitches. about 60/40. He hit 97 a couple times. And one more thing....I am in love with Burton. I think by the end of the year, he will be the set up guy.

On a side note: I went to the Hall of Fame for the first time today......WOW, that is a must see. I got to call Jr's 500th HR (which just happen to be on my B-Day). Really cool day all around.

Sounds like you had a great day, and the weather was pretty awesome as well. I am relly likeing this Team so far, I really can't remember the las time I was this optimistic about Reds pitching. Come to think of it, it may of been 1990.
