I stopped by the newspaper stand to purchase a Herald Leader. I put my 2 quarters in and nothing happened. I couldn't figure out what was going on and then I saw "Daily $.75". I put another quarter in and took my newspaper. When did the price of the LHL raise from $.50 to $.75? Is this a permanent change? Anyone know?

I don't know about the H-L, but the Courier-Journal has raised the rack price to 75 cents anywhere outside the Greater L'ville area. My guess is the H-L just did what Lexington has done for years on everything and copied the L'ville idea.

Pat Dad Posted March 28, 2008 Posted March 28, 2008 It was explained in the paper, somewhere, that in the Lexington area that the HL will remain at $.50. The rest of the state has to pay $.75 during the week and $2 on Sunday. :irked:
