First of all, I don't want either in the oval office.

 

But a lot of people that I talk to (mostly uninformed, but some with good knowledge in politics) will say something like "I hope Obama wins the Democrat nomination so that Hilary doesn't get in" or "I just hope Hilary loses".

 

As AcesFull has pointed out, Obama was rated the most liberal senator in the past year. Regardless, I started a thread earlier on their differences, and all I came up with is very minor differences on health care and Iraq.

 

Is it the fact that her name is Clinton? That she is a she? Is it the fact that Obama is a newcomer and a great speaker?

 

I really don't have a preference between the two, but I don't understand what makes a lot of conservatives prefer Obama.

Well I know why people don't like Bill. My question should have been aimed towards Why people hate Hilary.

First of all, I prefer Hillary over Obama. The president needs a ruthless streak and she is nothing if not ruthless.

 

As for reasons that conservatives hate Hillary, I think that HHSDad hit the nail on the head. She is as close to evil incarnate as anybody likely to ever get near the presidency.

 

I will add more later, but Hillary's alleged role in the Travel Office scandal, if true, is enough reason both to fear and loathe the woman. Anybody who would attempt to send innocent people to jail to avoid the political fallout that would result from firing them is evil, and I believe that is what was done to Billy Dale and his staff.

 

Fortunately, juries are not as easily fooled as the Clintons' supporters and nobody on Dale's staff was convicted of any wrongdoing. In the end, the Clintons' Arkansas pals filled the jobs of the employees targeted with FBI and IRS investigations. The Clintons had the legal right to simply fire the travel office staff without giving a reason - but that would have smacked of cronyism.

 

Before anybody points out that the Clintons were never formally charged with wrongdoing in the travel office affair, let me be the first to agree. Both Clinton's generated a lot of smoke in their 8 years in the White House and it is a shame that Republicans did not focus more on their abuse of power instead of Monicagate.

I just don't care for her, and I don't want Bill back in the White House.

I need some clarification but wasn't there a holdout and shutting down of the government between the Republican controlled Congress and the White House that helped lead to the balancing of the budget?
