November 26, 200817 yr I am VERY novice. I have always liked card games better. On a slightly different note, the scene in The Wire where D explains chess is one of my favorites in season one.
November 26, 200817 yr Love to play, but it has been a while. My brother started me on it when I was about 7 or 8. About 20 years ago, in college, there was a guy that claimed to be the second ranked player in KY. First, I have no idea how his rank could be determined, as I've never seen a Litkenhous or Cantrell's rating of chess players in the state. Second, I never really believed it. He was very good, but the only time I played him I beat him, and he was pretty upset. Some things you never forget.

November 29, 200817 yr The Wire or that scene? The Wire :irked: I miss it. Still have yet to see a single episode of Season 5 though.
